With banks again offering mortgage deals to buyers who only have a 5% deposit, we’d like to hear from house buyers this scheme won’t help

The government’s new mortgage guarantee scheme has gone live, and will support banks and building societies to offer 95% loans, meaning that buyers will, in theory, be able to buy a home with a 5% deposit.

A stamp duty holiday on the first £500,000 of the cost of a home in England or Northern Ireland has been extended by three months and will end on 31 June 2021.
