Waitrose strikes two-year Deliveroo deal, creating up to 400 jobs

Supermarket chain to offer grocery delivery service at 150 shops across UK by end of summer

Waitrose and Deliveroo have struck a two-year partnership for rapid home grocery deliveries after a successful trial of the service.

Waitrose said it would expand its Deliveroo service from 40 to 150 shops across the UK by the end of the summer, delivering food to about 13 million people. The move is expected to create 400 jobs at Waitrose shops, to fulfil orders ready to be collected by Deliveroo.
